New! Adding Series Labels to Line Charts
Happy Thursday everyone!
This week on How To Use Power BI we’re learning one of the best “stock” label options that comes with Power BI. Series Labels!
(“Stock” here means you can use them by turning on on/off switches and setting a couple options. No DAX or hacking or complications involved).
You’re going to want to use Series labels on Line and Area charts all the time. It eliminates the need for a legend, because they label your series *directly*. It’s immediately evident what line is representing what series.

Here’s the music for this week’s Labels post :)
Can we use AI to learn Power BI?
Over on People-Friendly Power BI, I explored just what we get when we ask the fancy paid version of ChatGPT and Google Gemini how to build a bar chart in Power BI.
Let’s just say it looks like I do NOT have to worry about AI taking over training people and organizations how to use Power BI. :)
