New! Learning more DAX with the IF function!
Happy Thursday everyone!
This week we’re learning a very simple yet powerful DAX function!
IF!
The IF function lets us check if certain circumstances exist in our data and base entire columns and measures on if they exist (or not). Our post this week explores the basics of this. You’ll love it.

Blast from the Past:
You can always delve into the How To Use Power BI Archives. It’s all free.
This week let’s re-visit a post that gets a LOT of traffic from search engines… how to Add a Benchmark Line to a Bar Chart.
It’s such a simple thing (if you know where to click) and everyone’s searching the internet for it.
We have the info. Right here. :)
People-Friendly Power BI
Over on my monthly newsletter about how to make Power BI more user-friendly there’s a new post about the tendency for oversharing on Power BI (and data viz in general).
My theory is part of this is due to Imposter Syndrome. We all suffer from it from time to time and sometimes it manifests as us trying to prove ourselves by showing ALL the data all at once, and that’s exactly the wrong way to visualize data.
Read how conquering Imposter Syndrome makes your data visualization awesome.
Take care everyone,
Joe.
